Johnson is a researcher at Shadow.
Appearance
Johnson is a tall man who is almost always seen wearing his Ironman Suit, with a bionic replacing his right arm after it was lost.
Personality
Johnson generally displays the haughty confidence and quirky antics typical of American superheroes, which brings him at odds with Esna who gets embarrassed by him, although in actual fact he cares a lot about his daughter.
History
A distinguished inventor in the United States, he constructed his Ironman Suit for protecting Esna, and had once fought a grizzly bear while wearing it, though the development cost got him broke. After an unsuccessful attempt to sell the suit to the Pentagon two years ago, Johnson was recruited by Shadow and so brought Esna with him to South Korea.

Following the Nox attack on the S International building, Johnson took Esna with him to dig Gang Daehyeop out of the rubble, and at Daehyeop’s request transported him to the hideout of Yun Taesu.
Johnson was present at Shadow’s opening ceremony headed by Sin Yunseong, after which he continued to help make improvements on Shadow’s gear.
During the evacuation from the secret Shadow headquarters in the midst of Nine Dragons’ attack, Johnson protected by Han Yewon’s shielding fought alongside Yu Chiyeoung to provide covering fire for Daehyeop and Sin Taepung who were holding back the horde of Marionettes. He was helping hold the entrance to the escape route uncovered by Park Jinoh alongside Esna while the othe employees escaped when the Han River got blown into the tunnel, and in the ditch to protect his daughter from the torrent had his right arm all torn up. He spent the days since in the hospital drawing up plans for attaching a prosthetic arm, in addition to betrothing Esna to Daehyeop.

Johnson has demonstrated talent with inventions of gadgets, and is involved in the development of many devices and equipment used by Shadow in addition to inventing his personal equipment.
Although he can write Korean text as well as speak some broken Korean sentences, Johnson mostly relies on speech-to-text devices that translate between Korean and English for communicating with his colleagues.

- His suit is modelled after the one worn by the American superhero character Iron Man.
- His name is probably based off the Alaskan musher John “Iron Man” Johnson.
